The Mission
The mission of REVIVE Church is to expand the Kingdom of God by introducing people to Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
The Vision
We believe the Lord placed Revive Church into East Peoria with purpose. It’s our desire to help others learn about the saving grace that is only available through our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. Our motto is "restore – refresh – rechurch”.
We believe people will come to us that need restored. Maybe you know someone who has been hurt or abused and needs a safe place to come in so Holy Spirit may restore them. Send them our way so we may show them God’s love. When you enter the property, we pray that you sense Holy Spirit like never before and that you feel love like you’ve never felt. When you leave, it’s our desire that you feel refreshed. We don’t want our gatherings to become a habit, duty, or obligation. Our prayer is that we bring refreshment to your soul, through Holy Spirit. When you are refreshed, we believe that you will make better decisions in your life, including at your place of work and in your family. Leave refreshed! You’ll love it!! We made up the word “rechurch”. We try to do things a little bit different around here. Nothing too over the top…just different enough that you’ll be glad you came.

Our Story
How it all started...
REVIVE Church launched on Easter Sunday in 2019. Here is our story.
In 1979, Springfield Road General Baptist Church was built and served the community as a thriving and healthy church for many years. Through a series of events over a few decades, not only had they diminished in size, but by 2010 the congregation also found themselves without a minister . In 2014, Pastor Robert (who grew up at SRGBC) offered to come and minister once per month as they were in search of their new pastor. What everyone expected to be 4-6 months turned into 4 years. In December of 2018, the congregation realized they could no longer move forward as they had for the previous 8 years (without a pastor). In January 2019, Robert presented a proposal to the congregation to consider a new name, him as Senior Pastor, and to transition to Assemblies of God. On January 20, 2019 the congregation voted and accepted the proposal.

Let the work begin!
The toilets couldn't be flushed .... many areas of the ceiling leaked water ... most areas needed updated ...
New roof, siding, front door, gutters, and downspouts for our Mission House.
We let missionaries stay here for free!
Our lower level has been remodeled to offer a wonderful and fun experience for our children as they learn more about Jesus.
We have separate areas for our babies, toddlers, and children. Every Sunday morning is special....REVIVE Kids LOVE to be here!

Where We’re Headed…
We are so grateful for God’s hand upon us every step of the way. His faithfulness has been evident in every project we’ve undertaken—each one fully paid for, allowing us to remain debt-free from the very beginning. This is a testimony of His provision and a reminder that we are walking in His purpose.
Looking ahead, we are excited for all that God has in store for us. We are committed to being faithful stewards of this beautiful property He has entrusted to us, knowing that it’s not just a building, but a place where lives are changed, where people encounter Jesus, and where we build community.
As we continue to grow, we envision a future that includes resurfacing the parking lot to make it more accessible, remodeling the sanctuary to create an even more welcoming space for worship, and installing an elevator to ensure everyone can fully engage. And that’s just the beginning! There’s so much more on the horizon as we seek to impact our community and expand the Kingdom.
God is doing amazing things here, and we’re just getting started. The best is yet to come!
